At Bug Commander Pest Control, our Frisco pest control team consistently goes above and beyond the call of duty to ensure that our fellow creatures are treated with kindness and care. When we trap live animals such as racoons, squirrels, and possums, we always relocate them to rural areas and environments that best suit their needs – well away from places near roads or in neighborhoods where they could come to harm. It is always our goal to rehome them where they have access to food, water, and shelter without the stress of human interaction.
In some cases, we help our customers to remove birds’ nests from attics, trees, or gutters. We have found nests with baby birds that were too young to survive without someone caring for them. With help from our good friend, Diana, at Wild Rescue, Inc., we have been able to raise and rehabilitate these birds ourselves until they were strong enough to survive on their own. Watching them fly off is always a proud parent moment for us!
Committed to Safe Relocation, On & Off the Clock
Our team is on the streets helping our customers six days a week, 12 hours a day. With that much time out and about, we see animals just about everywhere! When we see turtles in the road, we stop for them, retrieve them, and take them to safer locations near sources of water. We also find lost or stray dogs frequently, and always take the time to call the owners if they have tags, or take them to the vet to check for chips if they do not. We once found a severely injured chihuahua with a damaged eye and, with help from DFW Rescue Me, we were able to get him the help he needed and find him a loving home. When we trap feral cats, we do so safely and take them to The Dallas Cat Lady, who graciously takes cats and kittens of all kinds, provides any necessary rehabilitation, and finds them loving forever homes.
Even with the animals that we are called in to remove, care and respect are always the name of the game. When we find snakes, they are placed in covered buckets and taken to rural areas away from homes and livestock. Rabbits are brought to Diana at Wild Rescue, along with squirrels and birds, to ensure they are healthy and able to live a happy life away from too many people.
